About the Artist

Kathy lived in Alaska for nine years where her art skills evolved from technical pencil work to moderately abstract watercolors. Her paintings began to reflect her surroundings as she realized that the rocks, mountains, water and trees were not separate entities, but instead all connected to the same heart of the scene.

Kathy and her family now reside in Moab, Utah in the heart of the canyon country of the southwest. There she fell in love with another type of beauty which exists in canyons, red rock and desert views, along with the timeless heritage that evolved from the Four Corners area of the United States. Kathy is best known for her watercolors of the area. Her abstract realism lends itself well to the rock formations and ancient Indian ruins that are found in this region.
